Prosthodontics

This branch deals with artificial teeth replacement. Missing teeth can be replaced with ceramic fixed bridges rather than dentures.

Veneers are used for teeth that are severely discoloured, misshapen, crooked, having small holes, or to correct unwanted or uneven spaces. They are bonded to teeth for a natural appearance.

Dentures, complete or partial, can be used when the patient has lost real teeth. They can be removed easily for washing and cleaning.

Some of the advanced procedures done in the institute are -

  • Metal free Ceramic (Porcelain) crowns and bridges
  • Occlusal rehabilitation
  • Porcelain laminates
  • Acid etch bridges
  • Implant prosthodontics or the process of making artificial teeth fit over implants
  • Silicone based artificial eyes, ears, nose and other parts of the face lost due to trauma or tumours
